Hello again everyone, it has been a while since I have put up any type of posts. I have been very busy and have not really had a chance to write anything. But I had a company that did such a wonderful job and helped me out in so man ways, the least I can do is respond with a kind post to explain to you who their company is and what they do.

The name of this company is They run a pretty cool site that is all about, you guest it, keeping things sharp.   They talk about most knives and sharpeners, but if you are involved in something that uses a knife, I am certain you will find something valuable on their website.

What types of people usually use their products?

Chefs that work in the kitchen

From what I can tell, their most popular readers is chefs. They have all kinds of articles that help you in the kitchen. They talk about everything from table top electric sharpeners all the way up to butcher knives. It is a pretty cool resource for this group of people.

Home Chefs (that means you mom!)

When I said chefs, I was still including home makers and full time moms and dads. I actually experienced this myself. Like many other people, I cook for my kids every day. I had NO IDEA how dull my knives were until these guys told me how to sharpen them. I have to say, I do not think I could ever go back! All my knives are great now! It also saves a lot of time, I cut faster, therefore I cook faster.  Can’t ask for much more.

It should to no surprise that hunters will often carry a knife or two. I cannot say I know a lot about the subject, but I can understand why you would want to read this blog. Especially when it comes to a nice sharp knife.  My father used to be a hunter, he always used to tell me how important it was to butcher the deer he caught ASAP. Otherwise the meat would start to taste funny after a while.   Before every hunting trip, he would always sharpen his trusted knives.

From what I am told, lots of fishermen really need to take their knives more seriously. There is always a time where you might have to quickly cut a line and more importantly, cur yourself up a nice fish dinner. Filleting a fish is not easy and when you do so, you defiantly want a nice sharp knife to get the job done.

Final Thoughts.

First off, I have to tell you have to find these guys. You should check out their website to find reviews about professional sharpeners. You won’t be disappointed and you will find something that will fit your personal needs.

I am sure there are a lot of other sports and professions that will need a knife or sharpener. This is a really good site for this type of information. To say the least, I thank them for their effort and wish the good luck.

Holy Camo weddings!

We have yet another great story to tell you. Today I got a quick email from the boys and girls from a Camo wedding website!    They helped donate and as promised I want to help promote their site.

First I gotta say, I am totally shocked at how many people are into Camo weddings. It is really cool how people are leaving behind their tradition weddings for more fun type of events.  I mean really? I’ve been to a lot of weddings and they are the same, why not do something new and different?

Here is how it works.

Get everything Camo.

I mean everything has gotta be camo! The dress, the rings, even the men’s suits. It is amazing at how many different  types of clothing are made for this type of occasion.  Even the wedding dresses are soild half white and half camo.

Get the right food.

If you are throwing a wedding like this, chances are you are really into the outdoors. The meal you eat should represent just that.  I have heard brides and grooms doing things like a hog rog or cattle roast. It ends up being one big classy BBQ. To me this is great, whenever you go to a wedding you always end up eating the same old stuff.

Save a bunch of money!

If you wanna get hitched and are into these the types of themes, it certainly is not the most expensive way to get married. Compared to a traditional wedding, just about everything is a quarter of the price.  It is amazing how much people will spend on a wedding these days. Epically if you are getting married again or have to more than one wedding, this might be a really good idea.

Thank you again for your donation! You helped the world and in turn I hope this helps your business out some.

Thank you Swedish Sweets!

Some more great news everyone! We are thrilled to report that we have yet another member join our group. Actually this time it is a business owner from where I live in Miami, Florida.  Its owner Fred, who by the way makes my favorite ice cream cake, decided to give $30 to our case and bring in his own lunch for a few days.

Remember – we do not take donations on this site. Please see our about page for donation recommendations and how our site works.

cakeThe Swedish Sweets Bakery has recently opened around a month ago. Aside from making great ice cream cake, they actually specialize in making a type of cake I never heard of before they came to our area. Being that Fred is from Sweden, he makes a wonderful pastry called “Budapestlängd.”  I’m not to certain when it came into existence, but  it is made with some fresh fruit, in this case peach, and is topped off with whip cream.

Fred started out at the Solna VuxenUtbildning, which from what I understand is a well known culinary school located in his home country. Later he would become a bakers apprentice in Stockholm, Sweden. After studying the art of baking for nearly 7 years, he decided to break off on his own and bring his skill set to the United States. Where he hopes his Swedish Sweets will take off and add a new layer of desert culture to Florida.

While I was in his shop he really gave me the grand tour. He also let me try some of his Dacquoise, which originally comes from France.  According to Fred, he threw in his very own “Swedish Twist” and although I am not sure what the different is, I do know it tastes really great!

Thanks again Fred and I look forward to returning to your shop!

A Thank you to Tyler Anderson!

This marks the first time someone decided to brown bag it and donate! My good friend Tyler saw a post I put on facebook and decided to throw a few bucks to cancer research.

If you are reading my blog for the first time, you should note that I DO NOT accept donations via this blog. The organizations and the rules for being posted on this blog are located on our about page.

A quick note about Tylers story.  He was a good friend of mine and saw the issues that I had to go though and decided to pitch in and help out.   He is a farther of two, a daughter named Sandy and a boy named Frank, and hopes to see a day where his kids will never experience such an illness.  Sandy loves to play volley ball and when she grows he she has big plans to become an actress. Frank on the other hand is a bit more serious, loves math and one day would like to fly to the stars to become an astronaut.

He currently works in IT for a company he prefers not to name. The good news is that he can expect to retire within the next 4 years and plans on moving to someplace warm, just not Florida, and has a good school system for his kids.  Although he suspects he will not be able to sit on his butt all day and will at some point decide to get a new job and perhaps even start his own business.

He decided to give $100 and brown bag it for two weeks, although he suspects he will cheat and just go out for lunch everyday anyway ;-)  I hope at the very least he stays away from the local sushi bars so he doesn’t blow all his lunch money.

We would like to thank him for his efforts and hope others will join him.

Thank you to Chad Lau!

For the first time ever, we had someone who I actually didn’t know reach out to us and help out with the cause! His name is Chat, he is new to blogging and thought this would be a good opportunist to help a good cause and help spread awareness about his writing efforts.   If you want to find his blog you can google for Forgotten Caveman – Facts and News.  He decided to donate $25, which we were very happy to hear about and in turn posted a bit about him on our blog.

A quick note before we get started. I DO NOT accept donations. Check out our about page to learn how you can help out.

Lets hear what Chad has to say about himself:

Hey there, my name is Chad Lau and I am an Atheist blogger that was born in Hong Kong. When I turned 9, my family decided it was time to go to the states and seek out a better place to open a Chinese restaurant.    Funny, but true.

My dad had family in Texas and that was the most logical move for our family.   As you might have guessed, we have a pretty interesting mix of people over here.  Some love the bible, where others do not care much for it.

Personally I was raised in a Chinese family where religion does not hold much importance.   Being that his state is highly influenced by religion, I wanted to give an alternative view to what many people over here hold.

I think religion is fine, if that is what you need to get you through the day, GREAT! My issue is that it is not the only way to go about living and it certainly should not affect news, science, or politics.

A ways back, my buddie of mine was kind enough to pass the blog onto me. I decided to take it over and share a non-religion fused news blog.  Which is why I decided to change the name to Forgotten Caveman – Facts and News.   I wanted to keep in line with the original owners “hey cavemen have were here before a man in the sky said we where.”  Yet, I wanted to add something more, not just bash people who like to talk about the bible.

Feel free to contact me if you want to guest post.

Thank you Chad and I wish you the best of luck with your blog!
